Granada Player Ratings: Oscar Rebels in Another Afternoon of Disconnection

Posted on: 05/12/2026

**Astralaga:** The goalkeeper looked very uncertain from the start. He made several saves, including one from Del Moral that left the ball dead in the box, which Fuentes somehow failed to convert. An uneasy feeling that, however, did not result in major errors, though he had one shaky moment when playing out from the back.

**Casadesús:** Returning to the starting lineup, he had plenty of work against Requena and Medina. He struggled significantly, was overwhelmed at times, and contributed little in attack. He fared well in duels, winning nearly half, but was dribbled past three times and made four clearances. He lacked intensity in the first half but was very solid in his passing.

**Flores:** Making his debut as a starter in central defense, he didn’t look out of place despite the team’s suffering in the first half. He faced Fuentes on several occasions and saw a yellow card just after the half-hour mark for a tackle on the striker. He was decent in duels and made four clearances. A good performance from the academy graduate.

**Williams:** The center-back made it back in time to start and had a busy afternoon. He won almost all his duels but struggled in close combat against Fuentes. He is not the defensive leader that Lama is in terms of organizing and commanding the backline. In the goal conceded, he couldn’t get across to block Jacobo, who arrived from deep. He was booked in the 89th minute for a heavy challenge.

**Diallo:** The Frenchman had a quiet game. He pushed forward less than usual and had plenty of defensive work. He lost most of his duels (only three out of eight) but made four recoveries and three clearances. He was shown a yellow card in the 41st minute for a reckless challenge on Guardiola. Short passing was accurate, long passes less so.

**Alemañ:** He still doesn’t look like the pre-injury midfielder who created, worked, and arrived in the box. In the first half, like the whole team, he had to defend more than attack. He delivered one good cross, completed 86% of his passes, and won the majority of his duels.

**Alcaraz:** Back in the pivot role, he wasn’t entirely accurate. He helped in ball progression but had to defend heavily. He won only 36% of his duels, though he showed plenty of experience. He made three recoveries and was dribbled past twice. It wasn’t his best match.

**Pablo Sáenz:** Starting again, he couldn’t replicate the impact he had in previous games. He was barely involved in the first half beyond helping Casadesús defensively and attempting to break in transition, but without creating any danger. He struggled in dribbling and duels, winning only three out of thirteen, but made eight recoveries. He had the team’s first shot in the 46th minute, a drive from the edge of the box that went wide. Subbed off in the 65th minute.

**Trigueros:** Back in the starting XI, he saw little of the ball. He had to defend more than attack. He was good at releasing passes in the buildup and was precise in his distribution, but he won only 36% of his duels. Subbed off in the 65th minute.

**Arnáiz:** After a first half where he was anonymous and barely touched the ball, he tried his luck from distance in the second half. He then delivered a couple of crosses later on when Granada improved. He won 46% of his duels. He is still not the best version of Arnáiz.

**Zinebi:** Making his first start after only ten minutes of game time in a previous match, he didn’t have much impact. He barely touched the ball, though he tried, helped with pressing, and kept making runs off the ball. Just 14 touches, with poor passing accuracy, but he won a large share of his duels. Subbed off in the 57th minute without being able to show his main quality: finishing.

**From the bench:**

**Petit:** Entered in the 57th minute and was barely noticeable. No shots or meaningful attacking contribution. He worked defensively and that was about it.

**Lemos:** Came on in the 57th minute for Casadesús but lasted only eleven minutes. Because in his first effort…
